From the swing in her backyard, Emily watches the ocean and wonders what she'll be when she grows up. A dancer? A tennis star? A gardener? Nothing feels quite right.
Then a small voice pipes up beside her. It's Fuzzy, a little green caterpillar who lives in her flower garden, and instead of giving Emily answers, he asks her questions. What makes you feel good? What do you care about? As Emily talks to Fuzzy, he shows her something she never suspected. She's already a leader.

Harambee Christian School
Harambee Christian School has spent more than 25 years in Columbus's South Linden neighborhood proving something remarkable: a private Christian education, PreK through 8th grade, year-round, completely free to all 148 of its students. The school describes tuition the way it describes grace: a free gift. And the school's name fits this book better than anyone could have planned. Harambee means "all pull together" in Swahili.

About The Author
Connie Chwan has spent more than 40 years helping people lead well. She's the founder of PureDirection, where she has guided and coached the leadership teams of more than 100 companies to build the right team, align to the right vision, create the right plan, and execute with consistency. For the past eight years, one of those teams has been Harambee's.
An idea was sparked in a quarterly session with Harambee’s leadership team a couple of years ago. A team member mentioned that he'd taken what Connie had been teaching them and used it to build curriculum for the students. Connie was floored. What a great idea!
Days later, the spark turned into a fire; Connie had the concept for a children's book. When she went looking for children's books that teach kids leadership lessons, she found almost nothing. Sundays With Fuzzy is her answer: a children's book about leading right where you are.
